    • Hi all

I am running 200gb external sd card with no problems.

Choice of format is important here. Android needs FAT32. Windows needs NTFS for hardlinks or app data but the basic system will work with FAT32. You can either format the whole card with FAT32 or create partitions to have separate areas for Android and Windows. KitKat can't access the external card without rooting but when 5.0 comes it should be possible. Important to get the right layout from the beginning, which I didn't.

Both KitKat and 8.1 insist on running apps on internal storage unless you want to start rooting the Android device or rewriting the registry in Windows In order to avoid any unexpected issues I decided I would let the software use the internal storage for app data and use the external card for my files. I used Minitool to create partitions on the external card and moved OneDrive to the NTFS partition.

Everything working superbly at the moment. Very nice tablet.

      Peter

    • 1) According to the info on a seller website, the W6S dual boot 3G, support WCDMA 850 and 2100 frequencies, and has a micro HDMI port. Is the info correct?

      2) Does the W6S support phone call in Android?

      Thanks

    • Hi all,

Can any one reading this confirm that
      1) the GPS should work when booted into android
      2) It is safe to do the Windows 10 update and have everything working.
The pipe.cn site says wait for their new bios and Windows 10 firmware but no date yet.
I can confirm that I am using a 128gb micro sd card.and the GPS works in windows.

      Rowdy.

    • Hello

My W6S started in Android without offering possibility of choosing Android or Windows.
I found that, on the next start up, by keeping finger pressed on start button the W6S started in normal way.

    • No, sorry, misunderstanding.

      What I mean is:

when W6S starts (very rarely) without option to choose Android or Windows

      1) Close down
      2) Restart and keep finger pressed on start button (or try start plus volume down)

You will now get option to choose Android or Windows:
